Sơ lược:
Thế giới đang bị tấn công bởi một loại virus vô cùng nguy hiểm có thể khiến con người biến thành đá, mang tên "Medusa". Trong tình trạng loại virus này lan toàn cầu với tốc độ 1 đại dịch chưa từng có, một nhóm người đã được chọn để ngủ đông, với hy vọng về một loại kháng thể trong tương lai. Kasumi là một trong những người được chọn đưa vào chiến dịch ngủ đông CSCC tại một lâu đài cổ kính. Dù hy vọng có mỏng manh, cô bé vẫn mong có ngày được gặp lại người em gái sinh đôi cùng mắc căn bệnh giống mình. Nhưng khi Kasumi và những người khác tỉnh dậy sau hàng trăm năm, trung tâm CSCC đã không còn như xưa. Không có một bóng người nào, sự xuất hiện của những con quái vật đáng sợ, cuộc đấu tranh sinh tồn giữa những con người không quen biết. Mắc kẹt trong lâu đài gai góc và ám ảnh của lũ quái vật, nhóm 7 người sống sót hoảng sợ trong tuyệt vọng. Họ đã ngủ bao lâu? Quái vật kia từ đâu ra? Thế giới đã ra sao?
